Weaving Words of Woo - A Beltane Celebration It’s Beltane! The days are longer and the time of the waxing sun is upon us! Hearts and spirits are hopeful as we move into summer. This year our Beltane event will be facilitated by, Thistle and Al, our 2014-2015 May Couple.  Join us as we gather in community to celebrate! -- Help make a sweet deliciousness to share in ritual. -- Weave your own, beautiful handfasting cord to celebrate the Sacred Marriage of the land, your love for it, and your connection to it -- Walk between the sacred flames -- Bear witness to those who would like to re-commit their vows* and to the installation of the new May Couple, who will carry the tradition of blessing the community each month throughout the year.  -- Participate in a Beltane Ritual -- Work a spell -- Share a sonnet -- Dance the May Pole -- FEAST!!  Learn some of what’s in store for Earth Traditions as we move forward with our growth as a community, and an organization! Have conversations of substance, and let the world know that you made it through the winter! We’ll have coffee and tea available. As well as a few other goodies. Things to Bring ~Ribbons, yarn, charms, cords for your handfasting cord. We'll have some supplies on hand too! ~A flower or green leaf head wreath ~Fresh flowers for the altar ~Bring a sonnet - or a selection of poetry that means something to you, and that you are willing to share. We'll be reading some of these in ritual. We'll have some extras on hand too.  ~Bring a dish to share, enough to feed however many are in your group. If you would like to bring a dessert, or a bag of chips in addition to your meal contribution, please feel free to do so. ~The cost is $15.00 to help defray the expense of the venue.  No one turned away for lack of funds Cash or check only.  Children under 16 are free.  All are welcome regardless of age, race, ethnicity, national origin, religious background, sexual or affectional orientation, gender or gender identity expression, education, or political perspective.  No pre-registration required.  *Those who would like to renew their vows at the Maypole, in community, please be in touch with Angie: Angie@EarthTraditions.org or Drake: Drake@EarthTraditions.org Starin Park Community Center 504 W.
