Holy Water ~ An Autumn Event

leaf-drop-water-autumn-1.jpg

In Ancient Greece, holy water was created when a torch from a religious shrine was extinguished in a vessel of water. In Greek religions, purifying people and locations with water was part of the process of distinguishing the sacred from the profane. Every religious tradition since that time has incorporated some sort of sacred water ritual into their practice.
As the bloom fades from the rose of summer, and the harvest tables begin to groan under the weight of their fruits, join us for a fun filled day of celebration!
Our topic will be, 'Holy Water.'
Local water expert, Patricia Klappa, will be sharing information about our local water supplies, and the delivery of water to our homes. We'll also be making Florida Water for use in house cleansings and blessings, as well as for freshening our energetic environments. Take a bottle home with you!
A seasonal ritual for blessing the waters of the Earth, and a shared meal will end the day.
Please bring a main meal dish to share; enough to feed however many people are in your group, with a little extra. If you would additionally like to bring snacks or desserts, you are welcome to do so.
